Marketing Research Report Options

Marketing research succeeds only when results are synthesized into actionable, user-friendly reports quickly distributed to the managers most able to affect change.

If managers can't understand the results, or the presentation does not engage them, the information will not get used and your research will never have the perceived valuable, relevance or effectiveness it deserves. Some reporting styles are definitely better than others. Polaris will provide senior level involvement (e.g., Polaris President, Vice President, and Account Director) to help you in developing, representing and utilizing survey knowledge. We will work closely with you in helping to drive the information we collect throughout your organization. We realize that organizations communicate in a wide variety of ways, which is why we offer an array of marketing research report options, from traditional written reports to the following reporting formats.

Topline and Crosstab Reports

Topline reports give results for each question for the total sample. They are available at any point during data collection. Crosstab reports show counts and percentages for each question and by total sample or by subgroup (e.g., type of business or company size), and they include tests of statistical significance.

Detailed Marketing Research Report or Executive Summary of Findings

Information from the research will be analyzed and reported as a whole or broken down by type of respondent, market segment, region, satisfaction level or any other distinctions we learn are important during the study. Traditional reporting options include an Executive Summary, which includes a summary of significant findings, conclusions, recommendations and Appendices listing the questionnaire and any verbatim comments. Executive Summaries are typically eight to 12 pages. A Detailed Report is an Executive Summary with greater detail, including less-than-significant findings, additional charts, graphs and analysis. A detailed marketing research report is typically 10-30+ pages, but they can be much larger. Detailed reports can be provided in your preferred format, including MS-Word or PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe, etc.

Online Reporting System, StatTrac®

Via the Internet, on our very secure website, Polaris offers interactive reporting, data access, and information distribution. Based upon individual logons, your company’s managers and other designated users are able to generate reports by choosing options and either downloading pre-designed reports or generating analysis that they can customize to their needs. This interface will be updated and maintained by Polaris’ project team on an ongoing basis. StatTrac® can be used for online distribution of traditional reports across your company.

Automated Dashboard Reporting

Polaris has developed an automated dashboard marketing research report system to provide companies with a unique and readily understandable format for sharing feedback. The reports are timely and affordable, tailored to your needs and compiled to your specifications -- by representative, by manager, by division, by region. Reports can be aggregated for management levels throughout any corporate structure and can be delivered quarterly, monthly, or even weekly, depending on your needs. Typically used for mid to large scale tracking research projects, these reports can be used to paint an accurate picture of your customers so that you can identify and correct any problems quickly. One example of our dashboard reporting is T·I·E·R·S, the Touchstone Individual Employee Reporting System that Polaris designed to provide companies with a touchstone and unique measurement standard for providing specific feedback regarding a customers' contact with a specific employee.

Action Reports

Action Reports are specific requests for further contact from your customers. Action Reports would allow a representative from your company to contact customers with issues and questions in order to resolve problems, answer questions, and take suggestions. We would place a series of questions at the end of the questionnaire to capture a customer request for contact if desired. The benefits to including an Action Report are multiple and include positive customer contact and good will, as well as performance tracking.
