Polaris Marketing Research's InterStar interactive
voice response (IVR) system provides a uniquely convenient
method of gathering information from employees, patients, association
members or other respondents with a high interest or investment
in the results. It also is well suited to gather information
from a multi-lingual or semi-literate audience. Without the
need for "live" interviewers, the labor savings make
InterStar surveys very economical. Costs are typically far
below telephone interviewing.
InterStar allows respondents to call a toll-free number at
their convenience, anytime day or night, from any phone. A
friendly voice asks prerecorded questions that can be answered
via the telephone keypad. For those still using dial telephones,
the system captures and digitally stores their voice responses.
For open-ended questions, responses are recorded and then transcribed
and included in the research report, without disclosing the
identity of the individual respondent.
