Polaris takes many measures to ensure survey and data security.

Polaris Utilizes Extensive Survey Security And Data Security Backup Measures

Polaris' network is highly secure and all data is stored on our password protected, encrypted SQL server architecture.
All electronic communication utilizes 128-bit SSL encryption, including access to our StatTrac® system.
Data transfer to and from our remote call center are through a secure FTP site.
Survey data is housed on our development SQL database where data validation and quality checks are performed before being exported to our Production SQL Database. A number of data verification and quality checks can be automated using SQL Transaction queries and custom Visual Basic .Net programs.
Both our development and production SQL databases use the latest Veritas Backup software to perform a continuous real-time transactional backup of the data as it changes.
Additionally, a full backup of both databases is performed every night. These same policies also apply to all project-related data that we house in our central file server.

Our data backup includes the following practices:

Daily incremental backup of data,
Weekly full-backup of the entire project,
Continuous, real-time mirroring of the web-servers and all databases to separate backup file-servers, and Polaris also has business partnerships in place for interviewing services should our communications go down for an extended period of time (call center, IVR, Internet).
